Insurance Company Fire Loss Reporting
Each year the office of the State Fire Marshal prepares a report that gathers data on fire incidents and uses that data to plan for improved public safety for the people of Vermont. The report also contains information on the dollar loss from structure fires.
All Insurance Companies providing fire insurance in Vermont in the year of 2022, are required to report certain information on fire loss claims to the Division of Fire Safety pursuant to State Statute 20 V.S.A. § 2688. This information will be very valuable and is used together to evaluate fire loss and trends.
If your company did not have any fire losses for the year you are required still required to send in a report stating that the company had no losses. To submit your fire loss data electronically please use the form below.
