The Division of Fire Safety adopts nationally recognized safety standards (NFPA – 211, Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents, and Solid Fuel-Burning Appliances). Certification, training, and education are necessary for those people who clean, maintain and evaluate chimneys and solid fuel burning appliances.
Qualifications
A current certificate from the Chimney Safety Institute of America or Certified Chimney Professionals.
