Fire Prevention Through Education
The Public Fire Safety Education and Information Section is responsible for statewide fire prevention education, information, and outreach services of the Division. The section also provides support services to fire departments and other community organizations by providing technical assistance, along with educational equipment and resources to meet the fire prevention and education needs of Vermonters of all ages
We are currently conducting an on-line survey to get input from fire department leaders, local public fire educators and fire prevention personnel.
Please take the time to participating in the survey. Go to

Public Education Programs - Forms and Resources
Many of the Division's education programs are based on the concept of the "teachable moment," the period immediately after a fire when there is heightened concern and awareness about the dangers of fire.
The Division works with different types of media to deliver fire prevention and safety messages to the public year round.
For additional information or assistance on any public fire safety program please contact the Division's Fire Safety Education and Information Coordinator
