Licensing and Certifications

The Division of Fire Safety administers licensing and certification of trade groups to maintain professionals at a high level of technical knowledge. The various trades have levels of training and experience which has contributed to the Divisions success in reducing fire related fatalities and injuries by 50% percent over the past 10 years. Most licensing and certification programs require continuing education to keep current with code changes and emerging technology.
